at an angle to show the shine...

For Inspire Me Thursday the topic was 'action painting'- paint that is not purposefully applied. First, I ripped some wonderful paper that the store Joann's uses to wrap breakable things that you buy...I keep such paper-it's beautiful!I used yellow tissue paper for the background. I randomly Mod-podged them down thinking of waterfalls while I listened to "Peace Music for Relaxation by Andrew Fitzgerald" I mixed some acrylic paint with glaze to paint over my strips. Added a few different colors of glitter to give movement. It was a very relaxing thoughtless painting. This is something I would not normally do. My action was smooth and soothly. Paying attention to the sound of the music, sound of the paint brush...I just thoroughly enjoyed it!

  1. I love your inspire me thursday contribution. It is lovely. Me and paint brushes don't get along(i don't like to clean them) so waiting for next week. Love your office too. It must be fun.

  2. I love the blue-brown combination (I saw a lot of it on my holidays in the landscape) and I love how it glitters! Although there is so much going on on the page I can sense the grounding atmosphere of the statue-like strips of paper. The music you had as a background really shows on your page! *^v^*

  14. It's beautiful. By going to the largest image, the silver glitter separates into something like stars in a galaxy. Very lovely. Mysterious looking, too.

  17. Your "action painting" is really pretty. I saved some of those papers too for collaging. I so wanted to do that challenge too and may yet. Work has been getting in the way of my creative time.
