Why are trees dying in Colorado? You can clearly see mass amounts across the landscapes just driving through areas. (Why fires are hotter and burning harder) This is happening across the country...including CA forests. States HAVE forest management...dynamic issue across millions acres of forests in the U.S. What is leading to dead forests THRIVE in dry, drought ridden landscapes. (ie. not about 'cleaning' forests and POOF no more fire) This booklet is from 2017, so clearly getting worse. Not sure the answer, but.... rhetoric does not help going in the any direction. Note: 238 million acres are federally owned Double Note: we can't be fire free...the overgrowth and ultimately fire is 'good' for a forest. *Nature WILL win either way! No fire? Insects will continue their job with their cozy red flag warning type weather to aid them.
