...Tooling around in my little red Blazer, over the hills, through slush...my daughter and I spent many hours in a bookstore-exploring the shelves, sitting on the floor, picking out some favorites, enjoying a Starbuck splurge, then some shopping at some other stores, with packages on the back seat, Christmas music blaring, we drove home with our treasures....
...what could one do with this???

ReplyDeleteONe time this elderly lady I visited told me the funniest story about the shortest day. It was her wedding anniversary. And she said they planned it especially so they'd have the longest night. She was in her 90's when she told me this, I thought it was very cute. It was pre-wwII
