Mr. Sanders

Let me introduce you to a 36 year old Pooh and a 14 year old Pooh! We are Pooh fans- I was meaning to write this post yesterday, but life...well, life is just getting busy surrounding the Golden Oasis and I never got to it.

Yesterday was the beloved A.A. Milne's birthday -125 years ago..of course, Pooh is 81 years old.

Just gazing at this picture...relaxes me. My Pooh remains at my parents house on that bed...he enjoyed our Christmas visit. If you look carefully (click) you can tell which arm my daughter and I used when we held our bear under our arm. My Oasis is proving to be a great place to go during a time like this...and thank you all for your wonderful supportive comments- they really do help!

  1. My daughter's kindergarten class had a party to celebrate A.A. Milne's birthday. She brought in a bear, but not Pooh. Pooh is her brother's thing.

There was a story on the news in Boston last night about some guy who wears a Pooh costume and believes it brings the New England Patriots good luck. So, if you're ever in the area and see a grown man dressed like Pooh, he's rooting for his football team and not celebrating A.A. Milne's birthday!

  5. I didn't realize Pooh was that old. I thought maybe 40, WOW. He is a cutie and I personally love Tigger, and that rabbit that is so grumpy, and piglet, heck they are all cute!

  6. I love your old Pooh! So cute! I had a Pooh doll, he might be around here somewhere still... The coolest thing was that my grandmother knitted a blue outfit for my Pooh. He had overalls and a blue cap, kind of like a railroad engineer's outfit. It was simple and adorable, and made my Pooh even more comfy for me.

  8. I love Pooh too! My mom wasn't a lover, so the first one I got was one I bought, but it's not claimed by my dog who has an enourmous love for bears. Well, the stuffed ones that is! :D

I'm sorry I haven't been around more. My life is -strangely- so chaotic these days. No writing or art whatsoever. I miss it but I can't sit down to get started again. :'( I do knit and spin a lot though.

Thank you for all the great comments on my blog, I really appreciate it!

    Love!
