Just like that 2025 is almost over! Where did it go? Seriously, I had my daughter, 'son'-in-law (soon to be), and granddaughter here for Thanksgiving and went to Santa's Workshop here in the mountains....in 2024. It feels like it was this LAST November! Where has the time gone?
I tried to post each month this year. I'll be honest-I'm not feeling it. I'm kinda...over it. After the takeover of Facebook to social media world around 2010 and now Facebook seems like it's for the older folks like myself. I have an Instagram account that I check every 28 weeks or so (yawn). I refuse to get a tik-tok account. I'm posting on Facebook like I'm doing here. Just the love for my flowers, sunsets, and animals. Nothing too intellectual or deep. I don't share pictures of my grandkids...want to keep them private and the parents are trying hard to lessen that social media footprint which I'm glad! I still love Pinterest, but I've seen a change in that as well. AI....don't get me started.
I believe I started this blog in 2003- with blogspot (which I just now realize my photos/entries are...GONE). I remember the connection in the early 2000's, the shared posts regarding knitting, crocheting, paper arts-it was wonderfully new and to have connections with people all over. I actually have met three of my 'blog friends' (which was wonderful!) and I have kept up with others on FB...and will continue to do so. I truly feel you guys are my friends.
I STILL want to get back to reading blogs. I'm not really going anywhere, but I'm just not going to be posting...unless it strikes my fancy. I just think social media has morphed into something different and I'm rolling into a quiet time in my journey thoroughly enjoying what I love and choosing discriminately what I allow in my spiritual space. I can't get rid of my blog as my life with Nugget started it and to this day, I still miss that Soul Dog! I will still post when I feel the inspiration to do so and keep it up-to-date, but in the meantime.....
